Frozen Sounds

The 'freezing' of sounds can be reached by extreme deceleration as well
as changing of pitch. Both was made with the phase vocoder pvoc by CDP.
Steps:
taping of improvised guitar playing -
taking out about 500 single pieces and putting them into categories -
chronological order of the pieces -
adding, leaving out or changing special sounds - variations: volume,
pitch, direction of playing, tone colour and duration (phase vocoder) -
changing extended parts in speed, general pitch, volume, sound
(e.g. by using S-GRAIN, CDP)
There are 501 sound pieces, in a 5-minute-composition there are 300
seconds for them; all 0.6 seconds a new sond piece is to be heard.
